Ofcom has recently voiced concerns over the state of our broadband situation and have called on the telecoms industry to spend billions of pounds to help Britain catch up with the likes of France, Germany and the US who have already started investing big to catch up with the top countries like Japan and South Korea. There are also suggestions that the Government should help in what could cost Britain around 25bn to build it s own fibre optic network. The current copper wiring infrastructure is definitely feeling the strain and new technology being cut short of its full potential.
